This is well, Day Five of my 2 weeks of idiocy. The last four days was spent at the rifle range away from civilization, but guess what..... I shot a fucking rifle expert.......... In the middle of a freak blizzard snowstorm. In the middle of April. Hey, we were in New Jersey, so it really didn't surprise us. So for four days of shooting shit up, I get myself a nice new shiny rifle badge, wind burns, and one hell of a pneumonia.
Hey, I usually wouldn't brag about a stinking rifle qual, because there's hundreds of thousands of rifle experts out in the Marine Corps. But how many of them qualified with an Expert in the middle of a freak snowstorm? That's right, bitch.

What's even more surprising is that they'd actually perform rifle qual under such conditions. Then again, it's not really surprising at all. Are you doing your AT or something over at Fort Dix?

nah. my AT was in December. wish they'd let me shoot my rifle... :: sigh :: They say that we will next month, but I think that they tell lies from the pit of hell.

my friend who just got out of the marine corps last nov. got a voicemail today from the good ol' USMC saying they had "exciting news" for him. any idea what that could be about? we were all speculating that they are calling him back. now we're hoping my hubby doesn't get one of those calls too!
