  • I know I have random drunk moments, and drunk moments that have benefited me or almost cost me my life-- usually the latter.  But holy crap, this one tops it all.


    I have a leasing agreement for a brand new Mazda RX-8 SHINKA Edition sitting in front of me right now, and I did not remember agreeing to pick one of these up.


    Granted, I did go to a Mazda dealership over the weekend, VERY very drunk, but I don't recall picking up a leasing agreement.  Of course the text is barely legible (I don't have the best handwriting under the influence of alcohol), and that sure as hell looks like my signature after I get possessed by the Spirits Of The Drunk.


    Bah, I just voided out the contract, I'd have to go pick another one up.  But hey who knows, I might be rolling around in an RX-8 soon.  Or at least I could dream on that I could own one.


    In the meantime, it's not fair that Japan gets better RX-8 editions.  Sport Prestige Limited II?  Bah Humbug.

    Gas Chamber this drill weekend.  Eddie, my friend in NBC says he's going to throw as much as 20 CS capsules at once, see how well we'll hold up.  We're going to look so attractive with snot and shit flying all over the place after we're done.



    Oh, we'll have a great workout too.  It actually looks like we're lined up for a firing squad execution, instead of jumping jacks.

    Speaking of lungs, I appreciate all the advice from my last post.  I did notice a trend with all of them, and I have no choice but to listen.  One of them that does stand out: quit smoking.


    It's hard, I'm telling you.  Just so so so hard.

    I might lease the SHINKA after all.  Granted there are better car choices out there, but that's what a LEASE is.  I'm just borrowing that thing, just to say  "yes I could do it"-- and most importantly, "yes I could afford it".


    This reminds me of that one time when I signed a contract before.  You know, that first contract where you signed just because you thought it would be cool, and now you want four years of your life back.

  • i hear you on the GTO quality issue. That's why I suggested the Cobra or the Vette. Sure with an American car, the quality is kinda eh, but that's why they are such great preowned purchases. The new Lexus IS330 is great, and the Audi S4 is a beast. I mention these because insurance is considerably lower, and they have one thing the RX-8 needs badly...torque. Still though, that is a nice ride, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
